We were in food heaven on all three nights that we spent in Las Vegas. Three nights gave us plenty of time to head out for dinner at two of the restaurants, Best Friend and Sadelle’s. that we found on Thrilllist Las Vegas. https://www.thrillist.com/eat/las-vegas/best-restaurants-las-vegas. The third restaurant(s) we found was Etaly, which took up a large area on one end of the Park MGM. These three Las Vegas restaurants were in total contrast to each other. You would think that in a group of three there would be one dud or one that disappointed. But no, they were all so different and all so good, I couldn’t name a favorite. Check out below:
Best Friend

Best Friend is a Korean restaurant nestled into a corner of the first floor of the Park MGM Hotel. Don’t be dissuaded by the entrance which is not the actual dining area. But it is nice to sit there and wait for the hostess to escort you to the dining area or have a drink while you are waiting. You will walk through some long thick pinkish plastic streamers and come out onto a different setting all together. You are suddenly in another, more intimate, world.
Roy Choi is one of the founders of the gourmet food truck movement. His first truck was a Korean/Mexican taco truck. The combination sounds delicious. And so was the food we ate. Below is a picture of the plate of grilled veggies.

Sadelle’s

Our last day in Vegas we ate a late lunch at Sadelle’s and were so full we really didn’t need much for dinner. Sadelle’s is a transplant to Las Vegas restaurants from New York that serves fresh bagels, smoked salmon and all the other specials you would expect in a New York deli. Located in the Hotel Belaggio, it’s been given that Las Vegas twist. Slip back into a coral colored booth or sit poolside in a lavender chair. Come for brunch hungry and definitely come with no hurry.

Eataly

Great way to start the day and equally great way to end it. Here are some Las Vegas restaurants so good and varied you could spend the whole day in here. It was so nice to discover Eataly on our first morning in Las Vegas. Michael came through the doors on his way back from his early morning walk and taking photos and what a good thing. Starbucks, which is more in the center of the hotel, was unpleasant with a line a mile long. Eataly, on the other hand, offered good coffee and so many pastries is was hard to make up your mind. Best of all, things were still quiet so you could sit down and take your time.

A late lunch or an afternoon refresher:

All kinds of dinner choices. There were stalls for fresh pasta, another for fresh pizza and salads and some great choices in boards of fresh cheeses, meats and olives.

Grab a table, stop to get a glass of wine to go with your gourmet plate, have a wonderful fresh Italian dinner. (And don’t forget the gelato.)
