We took a taxi on the ride out of Vinales, Cuba https://roadtosuchness.com/cuba-vinales-a-cuban-shangri-la/ , on our first evening there, up into the hills, to a restaurant with the befitting name of El Paraiso. (I found out later that we could have also gone in one of the horse drawn carts. They go around in circles on the streets town). I had been fascinated about the years in Cuba when all farming was done organically. So, just before leaving for Cuba, I discovered a short article about an organic farm in Vinales, La Agroecologica. It also mentioned El Paraiso, the restaurant that is part of the farm. So I was very excited to know I could visit an organic farm on my trip, and have a one hundred percent farm to table experience there, too.

The highlight of this evening was the feeling that you were sitting in the home of a Cuban family, eating a family meal. It was truly just being there. plus the attention given. Do be there before sunset, another special part of a beautiful setting and occasion.
